Manufacturing different pathways of creating movement to insure new ways to express ideas is always to be my priority in teaching. I want to get dancers to understand and evoke the things asked of them movement. I will teach this through expanding and contracting, inverting, spiraling vs arching vs. carving, directional changes, formation of shapes, qualitative expression, time vs. space, and other variations within the movement. My goal is to be able to efficiently communicate these themes to my dancers verbally for clarity of my intentions necessary for performance preparations. I intend to find a pathway for dancers to relate emotionally to the movement choreographed so that they are able to truly understand the purpose of the dance. Witnesses will have a clear understanding what is happening, if the dancers comprehend the inspiration behind the movement and are able to accurately execute it.
